Ira Khan, the daughter of Bollywood actor Aamir Khan, tied the knot with her longtime boyfriend, fitness trainer Nupur Shikhare, in Mumbai on January 3. While images and videos from the event captivated many, the most attention-grabbing moments showcased Nupur jogging 8 km to the wedding venue and completing the formalities wearing a pair of shorts and a gym vest.
Now, the couple has released a clip from their official wedding video, revealing the reasons behind Nupur’s decision to jog to the venue. In the clip, he expresses “From my house to Ira’s house, I used to run. I have a very special connection to this route. Emotional reason.”
As Nupur and his friends embark on the run, the video provides a sneak peek of the beautifully arranged venue. Just before the stunning entrance of Ira, who steals the spotlight with her graceful appearance, Nupur joyfully runs into the garden, embracing his father-in-law Aamir.
“I, Ira Khan, take thee, Nupur Shikhare, as my lawful husband,” pledges the bride, prompting the crowd to erupt in celebrations, led by Aamir clapping and cheering.

After Nupur recites his vows, the ceremony gracefully concludes, with everyone on stage, including Aamir’s ex-wives Reena Dutta and Kiran Rao, exchanging greetings and hugs.
Concluding the event for the time being, Ira humorously remarks, “Now the moment we have all been waiting for, Popeye is going to shower. Goodbye,” to which Nupur replies, “Following my wife’s orders already.”
The video also skillfully incorporates ambient sound, creating a personal and natural atmosphere, setting it apart from many other wedding videos.
Ira looked stunning in a pastel pink dhoti pant for the big day. According to reports, the couple is set to host a lavish reception in Mumbai on January 13, expected to be attended by the who’s who of Bollywood.
