Actor Ranveer Singh on Tuesday surprised his fans when his Instagram account showed no old pictures, even including with actor wife Deepika Padukone. The duo is expecting a baby and are currently vacationing together.
Ranveer has seemingly deleted—or archived— all his previous pictures, with the first post dating back to January 2023. With this, the couple’s wedding pictures have also gone off the grid and are no longer visible. While their 2018 wedding pictures are no longer on the profile, their recent pictures—such as anniversary and Diwali celebrations, are still there. The actor currently has only 133 posts.
Ranveer’s move on Instagram is highly likely to be a social media strategy. The couple isn’t new to this as previously even Deepika Padukone had done something similar, wiping her entire profile clean with zero posts. On December 31, 2020, she had deleted/archived every post on her profile and launched an audio diary.
While no wedding pictures showed on her profile either, she later unarchived those, making only those pictures remain on her grid while everything else was gone. Ranveer’s Instagram activity was noticed the same day as pictures of him and Deepika from their “babymoon trip” surfaced, where she was seen with a baby bump.

In February this year, the couple announced they were expecting their first child. Through their Instagram post, Ranveer and Deepika revealed that their baby was arriving in September 2024. Since then, they’ve only made public appearances together at the grand Ambani wedding.
On the work front, Deepika is awaiting the release of two films this year— Prabhas led Kalki 2898 AD and then a special appearance in Singham Again, where she will be seen as a cop. In the film, she will be seen with Ranveer, who is already a part of the cop universe as Simmba. Ranveer, meanwhile, will begin a new film this year, to be helmed by Uri The Surgical Strike director Aditya Dhar.
