Regardless of whether his character Abrar Haque from Animal showed fear or acknowledged anyone as his equal in strength, actor Bobby Deol clearly knows who the strongest is in real life and not to mess with that person. During a recent episode of The Great Indian Kapil Show, Bobby said that he has never encountered someone as powerful as his elder brother Sunny Deol and proceeded to share an anecdote to emphasise the same.

“If there’s someone in real life who is really strong like Superman, that’s bhaiya (Sunny). I’ve never seen anyone with strength comparable to his. Though he’s had several back surgeries, when he is required to lift someone (during shooting), he lifts them. He effortlessly lifts them as if they weigh nothing at all,” he recalled in the presence of Sunny himself.

“A few days ago, when I went downstairs (at home) to take a walk, I noticed that the window of bhaiya’s car was cracked. I asked the others, ‘How did it happen? Did a coconut fall on it?’ They said, ‘No. Sunny sahab got angry and he thumped it, causing it to crack.’ It’s a fact,” Bobby said, cracking up host Kapil Sharma, permanent guest Archana Puran Singh, and the audience.

When Archana asked Bobby if Sunny ever hit him in a fit of rage, the Animal actor said, “No… I mean, his eyes are enough to scare me.” Archana went further and asked Bobby if his father, Dharmendra, ever hit him. “Papa never hit me. Even his eyes were just as powerful. His hand weighs 20 kilos.”

When Archana jokingly asked whether their mother Prakash Kaur was responsible for keeping Bobby in line, Sunny was quick to respond. “We’ve got many beatings from mom,” he chuckled, prompting laughter from everyone, with Bobby agreeing, “She straightened me up.”
