While the makers of Nitesh Tiwari’s Ramayan have remained tight-lipped about the project for the longest time, actors and other cast and crew members of the film have started sharing small details about it. Recently, actor Ajinkya R Deo shared a photo with Ranbir Kapoor from the sets of Ramayan, confirming his involvement in the film. It has been reported that Ajinkya will be portraying the character of Vishwamitra, but nothing has been announced as of now.

Ajinkya posted the picture with Ranbir on his Instagram handle, where the two were seen twinning in black. In the caption, Deo announced his excitement about being part of the cast of Ramayan. He wrote, “So now for the clarification on this photo … excited to be doing a stellar role in the film Ramayan a magnum opus with RK and it’s been a wonderful year and half as I shared the screen first with Neetusingh Kapoor ma’am then with Karishma Kapoor for a web series and now with Ranbir Kapoor 😁😁😁.”

In Ramayana, Ranbir Kapoor is set to play the role of Ram, while Sai Pallavi will essay the role of Sita. Recently, leaked photos from the film’s sets surfaced online, featuring both Ranbir Kapoor and Sai Pallavi in costumes and makeup seemingly for their respective roles. The film apparently also stars Lara Dutta as Kaikeyi and Arun Govil as Dashrath.

Ranbir has been rigorously hitting the gym to get in shape for his role in Ramayan. Celebrity fitness trainer Shivohaam earlier shared glimpses of the actor’s fitness journey on his Instagram account. He wrote, “It was all hard work over three-plus years. Nothing is ever achieved by taking shortcuts in life. Clarity and a vision of the end goal with a properly planned and structured program to reach that goal is essential.”
