Director Lokesh Kanagaraj announced his own production house, G Squad, a few months ago, and now, director Nelson Dilipkumar has also jumped on the bandwagon. The Jailer director on Wednesday announced his production house named Filament Pictures. Nelson shared a statement about his new venture on social media.

According to the press release, the director wants to produce unique and creative works through his banner. The production house will start its first project soon, and the announcement is expected on May 3.

The statement read, “My journey in the media and entertainment industry started when I was 20 years old. Over the years, there have been several ups and downs that have contributed to my growth in this industry. Amidst it all, owning a production company has always been my constant wish, and today I’m thrilled to announce the launch of my very own production company, ‘Filament Pictures!”

It further read, “At Filament Pictures, our primary goal is to produce creative and interesting content that entertains a wider audience. We’re kicking off with a project that perfectly embodies our vision and promises to be quirky and fun-filled. Stay tuned for our first project announcement on May 3rd. Thank you for your support!”

After directing Rajinikanth in the blockbuster Jailer, Nelson Dilipkumar is yet to announce his next film. It is speculated that Nelson might be producing his next directorial venture. Meanwhile, there are other speculations that Nelson will be directing Vijay in the Tamil star’s last film before he enters politics. May 3rd might answer many such questions.
