It’s been 33 years since Pooja Bhatt and Deepak Tijori shared screen space, yet their bond remains as strong as ever. Deepak is now set to make his directorial comeback with Tipppsy, and the film’s trailer was recently launched in Mumbai. Pooja added a special touch to the occasion by penning a heartfelt note for her long-time friend and giving a shout-out to his upcoming film.

Pooja shared throwback photos with Deepak and wrote, “30 plus years of shared laughter, tears, joy & some truly testing times.. through it all you remained steady & a friend I could call at 4.00 am through any crisis. Big day today as your trailer of @tipppsymovie releases in a few hours. So proud of how you endure on. Which is why I am going to be there to cheer you and your team on. Life is cinema & cinema is life.. but friendship is what occurs between takes and lasts long after the greasepaint is removed & the lights turned off. Love you @deepaktijoriteam Always & forever! ♥️ #deepaktijori #deepaktijoriteam #poojabhatt #friendshipforever.” Deepak Tijori re-shared Pooja Bhatt’s post and wrote, “Love you more and more and forever more see you soon…”

Speaking to The Free Press Journal at the trailer launch event, Pooja Bhatt shared her thoughts on Deepak Tijori’s new film and his unexpected choice to direct a film called Tipppsy, despite him being known as a sober individual. She said, “My sober friend is high on life! There was a time when I used to be drunk and not remember anything and it was Deepak who stood by me at that time and took care of me without being judgmental. He has been putting up with me for the past 30 years and in a world of facades, it’s nice to have a person in your life who is as real as it gets. I’m so proud of him and the fact that I’m here to witness this milestone of his.”

Tipppsy is set to hit theaters on May 10 and is jointly produced by Raju Chadha and Deepak Tijori. The film features Deepak Tijori, Alankrita Sahai, Kainaat Arora, Natasha Suri, and Sonia Birje. It follows the story of five girls whose lives are transformed after embarking on a bachelorette trip to Goa.
