Kangana Ranaut and Adhyayan Suman were in a relationship for a few months after they met on the sets of their 2009 film Raaz: The Mystery Continues. The couple had a bitter breakup, which involved Adhyayan accusing Kangana of physical and mental abuse. Recently, the actor was once again asked about the tumultuous chapters of his past relationship with Kangana in an interview.

In an interview with Siddharth Kanan, Adhyayan chose not to delve into the details of his past relationship with Kangana and accepted that he has moved on from the issue. He said, “I don’t want to discuss or talk about that person you are referring to (Kangana Ranaut) because I have forgotten the past,” Adhyayan said. “If you’re asking, I’m giving you an answer, but I have given a massive closure to this. Life has moved far ahead. It was when I was 20. I am 36 (now),” he added.

Adhyayan had previously made allegations of emotional and physical abuse against Kangana in a 2016 interview, even suggesting that she had practiced “black magic” on him.

Adhyayan’s father and actor Shekhar Suman, addressed their past relationship in an interview with Zoom, adopting a perspective of closure and acceptance. He said, “We are not hanging on to it – neither the family nor Adhyayan. It was a phase in their life. Who are we to comment and judge? We have gone on our way and everyone is working towards their happiness and contentment. There is no point turning around or pointing fingers or saying ‘this is right’ or ‘this is wrong.”

Both Adhyayan and Shekhar Suman will play pivotal roles in Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s upcoming Netflix series Heeramandi. As for Kangana, she has also moved forward with her life, venturing into politics as a BJP candidate from Mandi for the upcoming Lok Sabha election. Additionally, she is set to appear in the film Emergency in the near future, which is based on the life of former Prime Minister Indira Gandhi.
