Rachel Lindsay said she is taking her “difficult” divorce from Bryan Abasolo “day by day.”
“I didn’t think I’d get emotional,” she said while tearing up on her podcast, “Higher Leaning,” with co-host Van Lathan Friday.
“First off. I just want to say thank you for people who reached out. I’m still trying to reply to people,” the 38-year-old added.
“You just never know how great your circle is until you see all the people that reach out and love you.”
The former “Bachelorette” said that she needed to “distract” herself by coming to work although she’s going through such a “difficult” time.
“To be honest with you, I need to distract myself from myself and the best way to do that is to do something that I love and I love ‘Higher Learning,'” she admitted.
“I am going to try my best to get through this podcast but I’m not going to talk about it — I will eventually — but now is not the time. Just trying to take it day by day.”

Abasolo filed for divorce from Lindsay on Tuesday after four years of marriage.
The chiropractor, 43, cited “irreconcilable differences” as the reason for their split and requested spousal support.
After filing for divorce, Abasolo released a solo statement on Instagram.
“If you’ve been following me for a while, you know I don’t like to put my personal life on social media and like to keep a safe space for our family,” he wrote on Instagram Tuesday. “Many of you know me as a chiropractor, and also as a husband, my proudest role so far.”
“After more than 4 years of marriage, Rachel and I have made the difficult decision to part ways and start anew,” he continued. “My parents have been married forever and I’m a family man, but sometimes loving yourself and your partner means you must let go.”
The former “Bachelorette” contestant concluded his statement by saying he wanted his followers to “hear from the source” before blogs started “making up their own reality” and asking for privacy as he and Lindsay “figure out” their next steps.
News of the split came weeks after the “Extra” correspondent revealed that she and her husband had been living “totally different lives” due to their careers.
Lindsay and Abasolo first met on Season 13 of “The Bachelorette,” which aired in 2017.
The pair went on to become engaged and later tied the knot in August 2019 in Mexico.
