The trailer of Srikanth, which features Rajkummar Rao in the role of visually impaired industrialist Srikanth Bolla, was recently released. On Monday, the makers unveiled the second song from the upcoming film titled “Papa Kehte Hai”.

The song offers a peek into Srikanth’s life journey, from his birth to becoming a successful entrepreneur. It covers various aspects of his life, including his experiences abroad, love life, and challenges along the way. Actors Sharad Kelkar, Alaya F and Jyotika, who are a part of the film, also feature in the song. The song also gives a glimpse of real life Srikanth Bolla through pictures.

Fans on the internet rushed to the comments section of the song to express their excitement. One of the fans wrote, “Rajkumar Rao has nailed his skills. What a talented person.” Another fan commented, “Something which soothes and gives goosebumps at the same time.”

The original “Papa Kehte Hai”, sung by Udit Narayan, was featured in the movie Qayamat se Qayamat Tak. The latest song is also crooned by Narayan and the music is by Aditya Dev.

Srikanth Bolla is an Indian entrepreneur who founded Bollant Industries. He was visually impaired from birth and after returning to India, Srikanth focused on creating employment opportunities for people with disabilities.

Srikanth was supposed to come out in theaters in September 2023, but now it’s set for release on May 10, 2024. In an interview with PTI, Rajkummar opened up about his experience meeting Srikanth Bolla for the first time. He said, “He is witty, confident, go-getter and loves talking… I was totally zapped because he’s so confident about everything in life. Sometimes I would ask him (director Hiranandani) that ‘Are you sure he’s blind because he comes across as if he is way more normal than us.”
