After several years, Malayalam stars Shobana and Mohanlal are coming together on screen. The two are considered to be one of the all-time hit pairs in Malayalam cinema. They have worked together in as many as 56 films. After a gap of about two decades, they are reuniting on screen for a movie tentatively titled L360. Shobana herself announced the news in a video shared on Instagram.
“After many years, I am doing a Malayalam film, and I am super excited. The director is Mr Tharun Moorthy who has also scripted the film. The producer of the movie is Sri Rajaputra Ranjith. And can you guess who the hero is? Yes! It is Sri Mohanlal. This is the 360th film of Lal Ji. So, I like to wish him all the best. And as our combination… this is our 56th film together. So, again, I am super excited. And hope everybody loves the film,” Shobana said in the selfie video.
The upcoming film is directed by Tharun Moorthy, who has helmed movies like Operation Java and Saudi Vellakka.

Shobana and Mohanlal last shared screen space in Mambazhakkalam (2004). L360 marks the reunion of the screen pair after 20 years.
It’s been four years since Shobana acted in a Malayalam film. She was last seen as a single mother in Varane Avashyamundu (2020). The actor played the mom of Kalyani Priyadarshan, a complex character, who struggles being a romantic and a responsible mother at the same time.
