Valerie Bertinelli gushed that she’s “in love” with her new boyfriend and revealed that they met on social media.

The “One Day at a Time” actress told People in an interview published Monday that she got to know the mystery man on Instagram a few years ago.

“It was strictly platonic but there was something about him that I connected with that felt familiar,” she told the outlet.

Bertinelli, 63, explained that their friendship only “recently” evolved into a romantic relationship after they began talking on the phone earlier this year.

“It’s crazy the comfort level,” she gushed.

The “Enough Already” author kept his name under wraps, but she did tease that he’s a writer based on the East Coast.

“I’m in love. It’s a seesaw of emotions because I was adamant I was never falling in love again,” she shared, while later adding that the romance “feels incredibly right.”

Bertinelli joked that after her tumultuous divorce from Tom Vitale, she was “supposed to die with my six cats and my dog and very happily live the rest of my years alone.”

“My belly is flip-flopping. This was not supposed to happen,” she reiterated.

However, Bertinelli admitted that it took “a long time” for her to heal from her divorce and the death of her first husband, Eddie Van Halen.

“I found joy first, and then a man entered my life,” she teased.

Bertinelli — who has one son, Wolfgang, 33, with her late husband — revealed last month that she had started seeing a “special” man.

“I’ve met someone. And I’m incredibly grateful for him,” she told USA Today. “It’s unlike any relationship that I’ve ever experienced with a man.”

The “Valerie’s Home Cooking” author raved about feeling “incredibly blessed and lucky to have met” the mystery man when love was “not on my radar.”

“This would not have happened three years ago, four years ago, last year — it wouldn’t have. And I feel incredibly lucky to have met him and made a connection with him,” she said.

Bertinelli didn’t specify what she was referring to, but she’s previously been vocal about her divorce ever since she filed for separation from Vitale in November 2021 after 10 years of marriage.

The former couple finalized their divorce in November 2022 in a settlement that required Bertinelli to pay her ex $2.2 million.

Despite the pricey split, Bertinelli still gushed about being “free” and referred to the settlement date as the “second best day of her life.”

Shortly afterwards, the mom of one claimed that one of her exes was a “narcissist” who called her “fat and lazy.”
