Vijay Deverakonda is gearing up for the release of his family entertainer Family Star. In the film, the Telugu star, one of the faces of hyper masculinity on the Indian silver screen, plays the role of a working class hero, who goes to any extent to save his family. In a recent interview, Deverakonda revealed how director Parasuram contributed to his performance in the movie.

“Parasuram the director of the film has a very unique taste, way of narrating the dialogue and expressing himself. I know that it is the exact beat I have to capture. As soon as I went to the sets, on both Geetha Govindam and Family Star, I made him say the dialogue and observed it. I captured it and reproduced it with my face and body. I made a few changes. The entire credit goes to Parasuram,” the actor told Galatta Plus.

“That’s all I had to do. I don’t need Stanislavski or any other thing. I just need to go on sets. The more I can bring out of him, the better the scene will be. I am just jamming with him and pick the best,” he added.

When asked how did he create a rapport with his Family Star co-star Mrunal Thakur, Vijay Deverakonda said, “When you have an intelligent actress with you, it is very easy. Mrunal has been acting even before I started dreaming of films. She has been working from a young age. She picks up things very fast. I keep telling her that she is blessed with a face. Even if she doesn’t too much, you can feel the emotions. The geometry of her nose, lips and eyes… there’s something about it that the emotions comes through well even if she doesn’t know the language. It was very easy to work with her.”

Deverakonda promises that it will be hilarious and amusing to watch his character in Family Star, which is set to be released on April 5.
