A recent report has revealed that BTS’ SUGA has now started his military duty at the Nonsan Training Center. According to Dispatch, SUGA has begun a three-week basic military training program at Nonsan before continuing with his remaining service commitments. The report mentioned that Jin, a member of the same band, took a break to see off the rapper. Jin, who is the oldest member of BTS, works as a drill instructor at the 5th Division Recruit Training Center in Yeoncheon, Gyeonggi-do. All seven members of the band are currently serving in the military.

BIGHIT told the media outlet, “According to the system of [starting] service in advance, SUGA began his work first. He enlisted in the recruit training center today.”

SUGA enlisted for military service in September 2023 and will be discharged in 2025. Unlike most recruits who usually undergo basic training before starting their service, SUGA chose to begin his service as a public service worker before finishing his basic training. Reports indicate that SUGA faced a shoulder injury which later required surgery.
