Comedian Kapil Sharma is set to make a comeback with a comedy show titled The Great Indian Kapil Show. Departing from his usual television platform, the brand new show will premiere on Netflix, marking a significant shift in format. During an event promoting his new venture, Kapil expressed admiration for the cast members of his show. He particularly praised Sunil Grover for his immense fan following and referred to Archana Puran Singh as his ‘lucky charm’.
Speaking at the press conference, Kapil lauded Archana and said, “She is our lucky charm. We started the show in 2013. Before that, I worked with Archana ji in Comedy Circus. Her specialty is that she understands every type of humor, and that’s an art. We enjoy a lot when she sits in front of us. It has been 11 years of this show, and I thank everyone for giving so much love to the show. This time we are coming with more affluence.”
The Great Indian Kapil Show marks the long-awaited reunion of Kapil Sharma and Sunil Grover, following their fallout in 2017. Discussing Sunil Grover, Kapil said, “You all love Sunil paji so much. People think that our collaboration began from this show in 2013, but in 2009 there was a show called Hans Baliye, and I met him for the first time on that show. And you all know pura show ek taraf inki fan following ek taraf (the whole show is on one side and his fan following is on one side).”
The Great Indian Kapil Show is scheduled to premiere on March 30. The first episode will feature Ranbir Kapoor, Neetu Kapoor, and Riddhima Kapoor as guests. The show will air every Saturday at 8 pm.
