Kareena Kapoor Khan has opened up about how she fell in love with her husband Saif Ali Khan. She said that she and Saif “are still discovering” each other after over 10 years of marriage, as she spoke about everything that she admires about him. In an interaction with Ranveer Allahbadia on his YouTube podcast, Kareena was asked what attracted her to Saif when they first became romantically involved. She said, “When I first saw him, I was like I haven’t seen somebody so handsome, so good looking and somebody who has that natural glint in his eyes. He was really charming. He also has very kind eyes, which, I think, women like in men. The natural kind, caring eyes that he has. So, that was the first thing.”
She continued, “I am still discovering Saif. I know him, there’s no one who knows Saif better than me, and I can confidently say that. He also knows that. I know what he is thinking and what he is going to think next. But you and your partner are always evolving, you know? So, we are going to keep discovering each other, which I think is nice.”
When Kareena was asked if she was attracted to Saif’s intelligence, she said that people started perceiving that her husband is an “intellectual” because he reads books, but that’s a very basic thing. She also revealed that Saif himself doesn’t feel he is an “intellectual”. She said, “This idea of Saif’s intelligence… he is like, why is everybody always saying that… Ok, he reads books, books are meant to be read, and it’s the most normal thing ever. So, I am like, ‘I don’t know.’ Intelligence in the sense, he thinks. He is well-read because he is interested in reading. But he is not interested in worldly politics. He’s not some economist or something like that. He says, ‘Mujhe toh kuch nahi samajh aataa (I don’t understand any of it)!’ He’s intellectual in the sense that maybe he thinks a lot more, more deeply.”

Providing more insight into their bond, Kareena then opened up on how Saif always asks her why she needs a team to dress her up for events.
Kareena said, “Today Saif was like, ‘Ek event pe jaane ke liye itne saare log, itne saare kapde (to attend one event, so many clothes, so many people).’ He’s like, ‘What has happened to actors?’ And I said I don’t want to do this, I also want to go masti mein apne like how we used to earlier for interviews. Sometimes I see my old interviews and I see how I am wearing a dirty t-shirt and jeans but that had its charm. But today, there is a lot of pressure about the look, everyone wants to be a ‘hot diva’, there is this fashion pressure. He asks why are you doing all this, how the entire house is taken over with clothes and people?”
