Morgan Wade is still in adjustment mode four months after undergoing a double mastectomy and subsequent breast reconstruction surgery.

“I haven’t talked much about my post surgery recovery from my double mastectomy and reconstruction I had back in November,” the country music star, 29, wrote in an Instagram post Sunday.

Wade, whose family has a history of breast cancer, explained that her RAD51D gene had a mutation, so she decided to “be proactive.”

Wade underwent the procedure to help prevent getting breast cancer, which runs in her family.
“I’m still adjusting to how different my body looks – change is never easy – but this was worth it,” she wrote.

The “Wilder Days” singer detailed her reconstruction surgery, confirming that she is “happy” with her implants and no longer has nipples.

“The breast cancer my aunt had started in her milk ducts and we wanted no chance of that with me. I just said take it all,” she explained.

Wade admitted she has been struggling to accept the changes to her body.

The singer said she is back to working out four months after her procedure.
She also shared that she no longer has nipples.

“I’m still adjusting to how different my body looks – change is never easy – but this was worth it,” she wrote, adding that she has zero regrets and is “extremely happy with the choice [she] made.”

“I am blessed God got me through this and has allowed me to heal fast and I look forward to a healthy long life Lord willing,” she added.

“Thank you all for continuous prayers and support and love,” she told her fans. “Excited to be working and getting ready for tour.”

Wade also shared that she has been getting stronger and is back to her regular workout routine after allowing herself time to heal.

“It’s been 4 months and I’ve been back to powerlifting and running. Started back to that around January,” she wrote. “There have been a few things I haven’t been able to do until now – the last month I’ve finally been back to doing what I want.”

Kyle Richards’ close pal first revealed her plan to have a double mastectomy last May.

“I’m feeling fine, I’m just pissed I won’t be able to work out because I really like working out,” she said at the time, noting that she usually worked out seven days a week. “That’s my only qualm about it.”
