Known for his memorable performances and romantic scenes, Emraan Hashmi has given us countless moments to cherish through his films. One such unforgettable scene is from the 2008 hit movie, Jannat, in which he proposes to actor Sonal Chauhan’s character using a Honda Accord, a dream car that also held a special place in his real life. The romantic scene from Jannat is one of the most iconic proposal scenes in Bollywood, with viral videos flooding social media platforms and fans reminiscing about the moment every once in a while.

Emraan, while speaking to Mashable India recently, shared how he used his own Honda Accord car for the iconic proposal scene in Jannat, which he had earlier used in real life to propose to his then-girlfriend and now-wife, Parveen Shahani. As Emraan, who celebrates his 45th birthday on Sunday, looks back on these unforgettable memories, he feels a deep sense of nostalgia, remembering his love for his dream car and the magical moments it helped create, both on-screen and in his personal life.

“The famous proposal scene, ‘No car, no pyaar,’ which keeps trending on Instagram, is a special one,” revealed the Murder actor, adding, “The Honda Accord was my dream car, and I wanted to impress my girlfriend. In the film too, what you see is my car, which my character uses to propose to Sonal’s character. This is something I keep seeing on Instagram,” he said.

As Jannat continues to hold a special place in the hearts of fans even after almost 16 years, recently, in an interview with Hindustan Times, Emrann expressed his wish to work in Jannat 3, taking the franchise forward and shared his interest in a potential reboot of the film. “I would love to do that, probably old wine in a new bottle. The makers (Mahesh and Mukesh Bhatt) have to come together again to make it happen, which I unfortunately don’t see happening. It’s a team, right? If by some stroke of luck or miracle that happens, it will happen (sic),” he added.
