Actors Shehzada Dhami and Pratiksha Honmukhe were in for a shock when producer Rajan Shahi of their television show Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai terminated their contract overnight and replaced them for the role of Arman and Ruhi.
On March 18, the actors’ contracts with the show were terminated owing to ‘unprofessional behavior’ and reportedly causing hindrance in the productivity of the show. There are also reports of the two of them dating.
Garvita Sadhwani was roped in as Ruhi, whereas Rohit Purohit will be seen as Armaan. According to Pinkvilla, Shehzada Dhami remained unapproachable for several days after the termination but finally decided to return the calls.

The actor remained tight-lipped about it and said, “Mujhe kuch nahi kehna hai isspar (I don’t want to say anything on this.) I am not ready to talk about it yet.”
There were also reports of Shehzada Dhami doing Bigg Boss OTT 3 after his exit from the show. However, the actor seems to be guarded about this as well. He said, “Mai kuch tippani nahi karna chahta hoon isspar (I don’t want to comment on it).”
More recently, actor Samridhii Shukla who plays Abhira posted romantic stills with Rohit Purohit as Armaan. Samridhii captioned the images as, “Abhira aur Armaan, shuru hogi ab pyaar ki kahani“.

Fans seemed comfortable with the shift of characters in the show and even commented positively on Samridhii’s post. A fan wrote, “I am really happy that finally samriddhi getting the position she deserves”, while another one wrote, “Ab laga Abhira aur armaan main lead hai (Now it feels like Abhira and Armaan are leads)”, a fan page of the actor commented, “Thisss is called chemistryyyyy!!!).”
