Yeh Hai Mohabbtein actor Karan Patel recently left the netizens talking over his comment on Bigg Boss. The actor has been offered the show many times and he has chosen not to do it. He has also been very clear with his reasons for declining the offer more than once. While Karan has always maintained that he doesn’t think he is cut out for the show, recently, in an interview, he went on to call Bigg Boss ‘a dirty, disrespectful show’. While his comment raised many eyebrows, the actor has now clarified that his intentions had been misunderstood.

Recently during an event, Karan shared his opinion on Bigg Boss and expressed displeasure towards ‘so-called influencers’ being brought to the show. He even said, “It’s become such a dirty, disrespectful show to even be associated with.” Karan has never been known for mincing his words. He has always been very vocal about his life professional choices, etc. in the past too.

While his statement blew up, the actor soon took to social media and issued a clarification. He wrote on Instagram, “To finally put an end to all the uncalled-for reactions to a statement that I did not even make in the first place. When asked about Bigg Boss, I said the show has become far more lenient over the last few years and there is no limit to how low someone can go to character assassinate someone. Salman Bhai (host Salman Khan) has always requested the contestants week after week to mind their words as it’s a family show, and sometimes the episodes get so dirty that viewing it in the company of family members becomes shamefully awkward, and that’s the context I meant ‘dirty’ in, and not in any connection to the channel, the broadcaster, or the host. I have immense respect for all of them.”

Karan also added, “Having said that, I still stand by my words about having zero tolerance for any kind of character assassination of anyone on any show. Media, stick to being the medium and not the source for news.”

On the work front, Karan was last seen on the big screen in the film Daranchoo. He has turned a producer with this film.
