When Siddharth Anand’s Pathaan released in January 2023, it created history at the Indian box office. As Siddharth is now looking forward to the release of his next film, Fighter, the director took to social media and recalled the euphoria around Pathaan that “changed everything” for him.

Siddharth’s next film stars Hrithik Roshan, Deepika Padukone and Anil Kapoor in the lead roles. Siddharth Anand shared that as the reviewers started pouring in, he found that the film was “unanimously” declared a “blockbuster”. He shared that when he visited a theatre, he couldn’t stay for more than thirty minutes as he could gauge the reaction of the audience. “Got to the theatre but for the first time didn’t see the entire film with the audience. I saw the first 30 mins and I could gauge the pulse of the audience. It was something else. And then the videos started pouring in. Of people dancing in theatres to Jhoome Jo Pathaan. Siddharth said that he is now feeling the “same feeling again of nervousness and anxiety” before the release of Fighter. The film is scheduled to release on January 25, which is the same date as Pathaan’s release.
