The latest promo for Shark Tank India 3 showcases entrepreneurs Pratyusha Pareddy and Manoj Sanker of Nemocare, who presented their innovative monitoring device for newborn babies. While the panel of ‘sharks’ appeared impressed with the potential impact of the product, investor Radhika Gupta raised questions about the venture’s profitability, alongside sharing a personal anecdote.

The promo commenced with Pareddy and Sanker expressing their mission to save over 10 lakh newborns. They introduced their medical baby monitoring device, which enables doctors to track vital signs remotely and make timely decisions about the child’s health. Responding to investor Aman Gupta’s inquiry about the device’s uniqueness compared to existing products, the duo highlighted its versatility, particularly in regions where traditional incubators are scarce.

However, the tone shifted when Radhika Gupta shared a personal story, revealing, “I have a problem in my neck because I was kept in an incubator as a newborn.” This personal insight provided a poignant backdrop for Gupta’s subsequent query on the venture’s financial performance, as she questioned why the revenue hadn’t seen significant growth over the past six years.

In another promo, founders of Farm Didi, a company specialising in pickles and chutneys with a mission to empower women in villages, pitched their business to the ‘sharks’. Despite the founders’ confidence in valuing their company at Rs 50 crore, the investors remained skeptical. Namita Thapar probed into the brand’s vision, while the founders argued that transitioning to an online business could justify the valuation. Investor Anupam Mittal challenged their lack of a concrete action plan, remarking, “There is no action plan, just a few ideas you have.” Peyush Bansal asserted, “Long way to go.”

Shark Tank India, now in its third season, features a diverse panel of investors, including Anupam Mittal, Peyush Bansal, Namita Thapar, Aman Gupta, Ritesh Agarwal, and Radhika Gupta, among others.
