Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashmah fame Raj Anadkat and Munmun Dutta recently made headlines for their rumored engagement. Soon after the reports surfaced online, Raj took to his Instagram handle and called the rumours ‘baseless.’ Now, Mumun has also cleared the air and has said that she is not engaged or married. Munmun penned a note explaining how the news was fake and spoke about moving on to better things. Munmun and Raj played Babita and Tappu on a comedy show,
Munmun wrote, “Funny how FAKE news spread like wildfire and keeps coming back like a boomerang. Putting things straight again! Not Engaged. Not Married. Not Pregnant. Also, IF and WHEN I do marry, Whether a younger man or an older one I shall do it PROUDLY. Honey! That’s my Bengali genes. Always proud and brave. Joi Maa Durga”

She continued, “Not gonna be putting my energy to fake things anymore. Moving on to better things in life. God is kind and Life is beautiful.” Raj had also quashed the rumours saying, “Hello everyone. Just to clear things up, the news you’ve been seeing on social media is false & baseless.”

Rumors about their relationship have surfaced online before. The first time was in 2021, and both actors had issued statements back then. Raj had said, “To everyone, who has been constantly writing about me, THINK of the repercussion that can happen in my life because of your ‘COOKED UP’ (false) stories and that too about my life without my consent.”
At that time, Munmun expressed disappointment, saying she expected better from the public. She criticised the derogatory comments, even from supposedly educated individuals.
