Kamal Haasan loved Manjummel Boys to the extent that he invited the team of the film to his office in Chennai. A video shared by Turmeric Media on social media shows a glimpse of their interaction.

In the video, Haasan is heard telling the team, “I liked the film very much. Not because it has Kamal Haasan’s name.”

The actor also revealed that Guna was supposed to have a different ending. While Guna is a romantic drama involving a person with a mental disorder and an affluent girl, Manjummel Boys is about the struggle to bring out a friend from the cave where Kamal’s film was shot. However, striking a parallel between the two, Kamal said, “Love can also be between friends.”
