Taylor Swift seems to have Travis Kelce quite literally wrapped around her finger.

While the Kansas City Chiefs tight end didn’t make it to his girlfriend’s star-studded 34th birthday party in NYC last week, fans think he came through with a very special gift.

In photos Swift shared from the bash, the superstar can be seen wearing an enormous new pear-shaped opal ring surrounded by a halo of smaller stones that appear to be London blue topazes, as Rare Carat gemologist Karly Bulinski (who did not work on the design) tells Style.

The opal is Kelce’s birthstone, while one of Swift’s is blue topaz — making the “very sentimental” sparkler a symbolic nod to their relationship.

The gemstones hold meaning outside of the two stars’ birth months, too; “Opal is said to represent hope and purity,” Bulinski tells us, while blue topaz is “said to help channel your inner wisdom.”

The gem expert says the opal in Swift’s ring could be as large as 20 carats, putting the price of the custom piece in the range of $10,000.

But according to Mike Fried of The Diamond Pro, Swift’s new jewel could be worth much more. “The center stone on Taylor’s ring is massive and looks to be 15 carats. A high-quality opal of that size is incredibly rare, but not nearly as expensive as a diamond would be. I’d estimate it at around $175,000, if not more,” he tells us.

“Since ancient times, opals have symbolized good luck, fortune, and power — which seems to be particularly fitting for Taylor Swift,” he continued.

The halo could be made of a few different blue gemstones, according to Fried, but he believes they’re most likely blue zircon or tanzanite, both of which are also December birthstones along with blue topaz.

He believes the dark, rich color makes it more likely to be tanzanite, which is “said to carry high energy and improve vitality.”

Opals have always held a special place in Swift’s heart; in 2016, she told Us Weekly, “My favorite stone is an opal because when I was bullied in school, my mom used to take me to T.J. Maxx after school to look at the opal jewelry.”

Continued the star at the time, “I thought opals were so beautiful, and somehow it made me feel better. We never bought them, just looked.”

The pop phenom celebrated turning 34 wearing a “Midnights”-themed Clio Peppiatt dress and surrounded by friends like Blake Lively, Gigi Hadid, Sabrina Carpenter, the Haim sisters and Zoë Kravitz.

Kelce stayed back in Missouri to prep for Sunday’s Chiefs vs. Patriots game, which Swift attended.

However, Miles Teller’s wife, Keleigh, fueled speculation that Swift’s opal ring was a gift from the football pro by liking a social media post speculating on the sparkler.

While it’s unclear whether the bauble was a present from Kelce or came from the “Mastermind” herself, it’s far from the first time Swift’s paid tribute to her beau with her fashion choices.

In September, before even confirming the couple’s relationship, Swift stepped out wearing an opal necklace from Foundrae that hinted the romance rumors swirling around her and Kelce were true.

And in the months since, she’s supported her man by wearing everything from vintage Chiefs merch to bracelets beaded with Kelce’s jersey number and nickname.

Could an engagement ring be next?
