Shah Rukh Khan‘s Dunki released with a lot of promise as it starred the one of the most popular stars of 2023 in a movie directed by Rajkumar Hirani but the film hasn’t performed as well as it was expected. The film’s daily earnings were already in single-digits and on Friday, they went further down. The film only managed to make Rs 7.25 crore in India on Friday, as per industry tracker Sacnilk. The domestic nett box office collection of the Rajkumar Hirani directorial stands at 167.47 crore.

As with most Shah Rukh films, Dunki is also attracting the global audience. According to Red Chillies Entertainment, the film minted Rs 323.77 crore worldwide in eight days. Dunki is being critically compared to SRK’s last two films, Pathaan and Jawaan, which earned a collective total of over Rs 2000 crore globally. Even though Dunki has done decent business at the box office, the film has not matched up to the hype that comes with a SRK or Hirani film.
