The opening ceremony of Women’s Premier League 2024, which will be held on Friday, will be a star-studded affair. The ceremony will see Shah Rukh Khan and Shahid Kapoor, among others, deliver spectacular performances at Bengaluru’s M. Chinnaswamy Stadium. Videos of the actors preparing for the opening ceremony have been shared by WPL’s official Instagram page.

In the video, Shah Rukh is seen practising for the ceremony. The clip also shows the superstar performing the hook step of Jawan’s title track. Dressed in a white sweater, jeans and sunglasses, SRK was also clicked doing his signature arms open pose during the rehearsals for the show.

The second clip shows Shahid Kapoor enter the stadium. Sharing his bond with the game of cricket, Shahid said, “I wanted to be cricketer growing up. When I come to a stadium, I am full of excitement. I am like a kid. This is such a fantastic initiative. It is great to see all the women. They are such amazing athletes and they deserve the best opportunities and this is a great platform for them. I think it was well over due.”

Adding to the excitement, Kartik Aaryan, Tiger Shroff, and Sidharth Malhotra will also perform during the WPL 2024 opening ceremony. The second edition of WPL kicks off on February 23 at 6:30 pm, following the electrifying dance performances by the stars. The inaugural match of the new season will witness a clash between Mumbai Indians and Delhi Capitals.
