Episodes end, equations last. Shark Tank India pitcher Priyasha Saluja, from The Cinnamon Kitchen, says she met businessman Deepinder Goyal, who is one of the judges on the show, after the show and described it as a “nice” experience. She also shared how much interaction happens between her and Aman Gupta who offered her a deal on the show. Aman offered Rs 60 lakh for a 5% equity stake in The Cinnamon Kitchen, and the deal was struck.

In episode two of season three, Priyasha Saluja pitched her business and took Deepinder Goyal’s (CEO, Zomato) contact number on the show. During the podcast of Ayushman Pandita, the pitcher was asked if she met any of the judges after the show.

“I met Deepinder after Shark Tank and it was a very nice experience. All these people are really smart, they have built million billion dollars company from scratch. There is so much to learn.”

Priyasha Saluja said Deepinder is one of the most humble people that she has come across and revealed he had invited her to a Diwali party. “It was a very informal environment where a lot of his colleagues, work people, friends were there. I also feel that as business owners, when you have made everything out of scratch, people from the outside can view you and think you would have a certain air about you because you have gained so much. The one thing entrepreneurship really does is that it grounds you.”

When asked if she has met Aman Gupta, she said, “Not yet. We are in touch on WhatsApp, we keep sharing business insights and whatever growth is happening. The team also gets in touch, asks for finances, how it’s doing and all of that.”

On being quizzed about how much ‘Sharks’ truly interact with contestants after the show or if it’s only their team who stays in touch, Priyasha said it is a mix of both and there isn’t any “correct” answer to it.

“If the team can help you more, you will interact with them more frequently. It is not that value addition happens only when you talk to the founder. If I am doing business, I know people who are better in business development, graphics or social media than I am. So, I will not insist that only I will guide, I will connect them with the right person. So it isn’t that the team is bringing lesser value,” she added.
