Dave East’s Valentine’s Day went south — because of Jim Jones. East showed up with a date on Wednesday to see R&B singer Job B perform at Soho House — only to leave in a huff, leading his date by the hand, when his table was given to the DipSet rapper.
It seems East, 35, was told that a VIP table was ready for him, but when he got there, Jones, 47, was already ensconced with his longtime girlfriend Chrissy Lampkin and his entourage were already ensconced, sipping cocktails and enjoying the show.
We overheard East —who was discovered by Nas in 2014 — protest: “Why is he sitting there? We were here before anybody else.”
A lackey even got on the phone to try to fix the problem, but East seemed to lose patience.
“It’s way too packed in here, and I am not standing up in this crowd,” East sniffed. He added, “What am I suppose to do — just stand here? Nah, we out.”
But his gal pal clearly wasn’t ready to give up and asked if there was another solution. But the rapper grabbed her hand and made for the exit. Meanwhile, Grammy award nominee Jon B,49, performed his hits such as “They Don’t Know” and “I Do.” He also revealed that he will have new music coming out, and feels like he is in his “grown man era.”
Reps for the Soho House, Jones and East didn’t respond to our requests for comment.
