The fans of the rom-com genre are in for a delightful experience as Ishq Vishk Rebound has gotten a release date. Starring Rohit Saraf, Hrithik Roshan’s cousin and Rajesh Roshan’s daughter Pashmina Roshan, Naila Grewal and Jibraan Khan of Kabhi Khushi Kabhie Gham fame, will hit the cinema halls in June this year.

The upcoming film is a sequel to the 2003 romantic comedy, which featured Shahid Kapoor, Amrita Rao and Shenaz Treasury.

Saraf shared the date announcement of Ishq Vishk Rebound on his Instagram page. “Ishq Vishk mein confusion ho sakta hai, lekin yeh Announcement ekdam clear hai. #IshqVishkRebound #PyaarKaSecondRound in theatres on 28th June!” he captioned the post.

The date announcement video hinted at what the audience can expect from the film. A voice asks, “What all is required for a perfect rom-com? Some love, friendship, drama, and a lot of confusion.” The announcement video also had the title song of the 2003 Ishq Vishk playing in the background, which was originally sung by Alisha Chinai and Sonu Nigam.

Saba Azad, Hrithik’s girlfriend, gave a shoutout to his cousin Pashmina for her Bollywood debut. Sharing the date announcement teaser on Instagram, Saba wrote, “It’s almost tiiiime for our Pashoo to shiiiine,” and added many heart emojis. “Can’t wait my lil cutlet,” an excited Saba added. Pashmina Roshan is the daughter of music director Rajesh Roshan and Kanchan Roshan.

Ishk Vishk Rebound is directed by Nipun Avinash Dharmadhikari and is produced by Ramesh Taurani and Jaya Taurani under the banner Tips Films Limited. The original film was directed by Ken Ghosh and also starred Vishal Malhotra.
